Area 2

Neolit holds the rights for the development of 12 mining prospects totalling over 4,000 hectares. Our geologists are currently surveying these areas and conducting some preliminary sampling with the aim of locating potential drilling targets. So far, our campaign of geochemical sampling and analyses has demonstrated the presence of spodumene mineralisation within highly evolved and specialised LCT pegmatite bodies of large volume.

Area 2 also contains large pegmatite bodies with amblygonite mineralisation, and we are currently assessing the mineralogical and metallurgical requirements for obtaining lithium from this mineral. We have high hopes for this research, since amblygonite usually holds higher lithium contents than spodumene, as well as potentially being a source of phosphate as a highly valued by-product.
